SBAB stands for the Swedish National Housing Finance Corporation. You probably understand the importance of an abbreviation. We were established in 1985 with the purpose of financing the state's housing loans. At the end of the year, we had four employees.

In 1998, we became known! Well, at least known for being on the internet with a digital loan application for private customers. At that time, that was enough to become internet celebrities.

Of course, we followed the internet boom, and in 2004, we launched an automated loan promise. With this, customers could get a credit decision directly on the screen via our website within seconds. It sounds like a given today, but it was a pioneering move back then!

Since 2016, we also own the search service Booli. With Booli, we not only have Sweden's largest selection of homes for sale but also include the service Hittamäklare, which is Sweden's largest comparison service of real estate agents. Together, we can assist our customers throughout the entire housing journey.

Today, at SBAB, we work for better housing and household finances in Sweden. Our dream is to realize the future of housing and homes.
